Kidsafe Karate Birthday Party

North Shore Dojo offers exciting birthday parties for kids aged 5-13:

- An hour and a half of fun and educational instruction
- Full use of the North Shore Dojo, including:

- relay races

- obstacle courses

- karate instruction

- stranger danger

- rope climbing

- and much more

- Hands-on instruction
- Up to 25 children per party
- Printed invitations and thank you notes available

Self-Defense Program

North Shore Dojo offers self-defense programs upon request as well as through high schools, colleges, and corporations.

4:15 Class: The 4:15 class is directed towards children 4-7 years old. It focuses on the basics on shotokan karate, including kata kihon, kumite, strength building exercises, concentration and coordination drills. This class is held every week Monday through Thursday.

5:00 Class: The 5:00 class is directed towards children 8-13 years old. It is a class for beginner, novice, and intermediate level shotokan karate students. This class focuses on similar activities as the 4:15 class, but at a faster pace. It is held every week Monday through Thursday.

5:45 Class: The 5:45 class is open to intermediate and advanced shotokan students of all ages. This class focuses on a more advanced level of the basics learned in previous classes. Bo is introduced in this class, as well as the opportunity to begin participating in competitions. It is held every week Monday through Thursday.

7:00 Kumite Class: The 7:00 Kumite Class is available only to advanced leveled shotokan karate students, and by invitation only. It teaches tactics, strategies, techniques, and a high powered conditioning program in preparation for competition and high level performance.

7:00 Kata Class: The 7:00 Kata Class is available only to advanced leveled shotokan karate students, and by invitation only. It teaches details and advanced kata concepts in preparation for competition and high level kata and bo performance.

**It is highly recommended that children and parents with an interest to begin karate should observe a class before starting. In addition, students are encouraged to attend class at least twice a week. North Shore Dojo offers a highly structured, disciplined atmosphere and learning environment.
